Oda reveals the end of Luffy ‘s story ? It’s been more than two decades since Eiichiro Oda ‘s One Piece story has been running. It first appeared in 1997, and until now One Piece is still one of the most popular manga and has the highest sales figures than any other series. In fact, some time ago the manga managed to achieve a world record for the most sales in the world.
In 2019, there was a surprising statement from Oda Sensei in which he mentioned that the One Piece story might be finished within the next five years. This was denied by one of the One Piece editors. However, then rumors about this have resurfaced recently. Because Oda Sensei’s statement was very “controversial”, finally the fans asked about the truth of this fact.
Oda’s Explanation About One Piece’s Ending
In the SBS 97 column, a fan asked Oda Sensei about the truth of the One Piece story which will be finished in the next five years. The fan stated that he was not willing if One Piece would be finished in the next five years. Eiichiro Oda then answered the fan’s question by giving an explanation of what he said earlier.
Oda Sensei said that the ‘end of the story’ he meant is an important part of Luffy ‘s journey story , which is answering the question “what exactly is One Piece?”. After running for four years, the Wano Country arc finally finished in chapter 1057. With the last phase of the story starting, it means that the next story that will appear will definitely shake the world.
The story could be something we have never read before, one example being the biggest war in the history of One Piece. Oda Sensei also explained that he said what he had to say. This is simply so that the fans can prepare themselves. Because, the next arc is a long arc, and will be a bridge to the end of the story line.
Based on the explanation from Oda Sensei, more or less Oda admitted that the story itself would still continue after One Piece was discovered. For now, we still don’t know what the story will be after Luffy finds One Piece in Laugh Tale. So far, the thing that many fans have been speculating is that Luffy will fight against Blackbeard as the pirate king. And of course the last one is the big battle, Luffy against the World Government and of course the fight against Im Sama.

Finding One Piece is indeed a target and also a big dream of Monkey D. Luffy. And this is also what Luffy is doing with the Straw Hats. However, based on Oda Sensei’s explanation, finding One Piece was not the end. There will be something much bigger waiting for Luffy after he finds One Piece.
What will Luffy then face after finding One Piece? It could be, Luffy will fight against the World Government to destroy them and restore world peace. That is, when Luffy manages to find One Piece, his adventure is over. He has succeeded in realizing his dream. However, there are still things Luffy has to do especially considering he is the new Joy Boy.
Luffy still has to fulfill various dreams or promises that Joy Boy previously couldn’t fulfill. For example, lifting all fishmen to land. And of course one thing that many fans are looking forward to is how Luffy destroys the World Government and brings a new dawn in the world of One Piece.
